Be Present.

Get intentional about your wellness.

Be Well.

Doing something with intention means to act with purpose and have awareness of what you’re doing. The definition of wellness is “the quality or state of being in good health especially as an actively sought goal”.

Intentional wellness is to be purposeful and aware of the actions you choose to support your well-being.

In the pursuit of lifestyle changes in relation to nutrition, fitness and your personal or professional goals - being conscious about your choices creates a level of focus needed to drive desired results. Practicing intentional wellness requires you to be present in the moment.

How does being present in the moment relate to food choices, exercise and mindset?

A few examples are:

  • Mindful Eating. Paying attention to your food, with purpose and intention. Being aware of the eating experience and savoring the moment. One of the challenges of weight loss and nutritional goals is “mindless” eating. Having the ability to pay attention to your eating pattern can provide you with a greater probability to sustain your lifestyle change for the longer term.

  • Focus On Your Breathing While Weight Lifting. Have you ever done weight-lifting exercises and realized that you were holding in your breath? Focusing on inhaling and exhaling allows you to take in the oxygen your body needs to function.

  • Avoid Distractions While Working Out. Leave the phone behind. Focus and commit to the exercises you are doing and enjoy your surroundings; whether that is hiking, bike riding, taking a walk or running.

  • Find The Enthusiasm In Your Life. There are times in our lives when things happen and we must accept them. Other times, we enjoy. When you are enthusiastic, you bring something new to your world.

Learn how to build a mindset for a healthy lifestyle change that is long-lasting.

“If you are not in the state of either acceptance, enjoyment, or enthusiasm, look closely and you will find that you are creating suffering for yourself and others.”

- Eckhart Tolle
